My Projects

For a 9 month rotation, I led the QuickBooks Online Small Business Core Mission team, directly managing a team of 4 PMs, and leading a cross-functional team of 34 engineers and 9 designers. In this role, I was responsible for establishing our FY20 strategy, leading prioritization, and unblocking the team through delivery of one of our company’s biggest bets.

I currently lead a 20 person design organization focused on our top of funnel, marketing, and new user on-boarding initiatives. We're on a mission to deliver the most compelling First Impression of the QuickBooks brand. Projects coming soon!

GROUP DESIGN MANAGER, FTU & Marketing INTUIT | 2016 - 2017

I managed a six person team focused on our top of funnel, marketing, and new user on-boarding initiatives. So far we've nailed a full site redesign leading to 42K new subscribers this year. You can see more about the project here.

I taught a group of graduate students in the Earth Sciences Department the fundamentals of Design Thinking. The course was project based and designed around the food waste problem. You can see more about the class here.

DESIGN MANAGER, First use INTUIT | 2015 - 2016

I led a killer team of designers laser focused on creating world class first use experiences that help small business owners understand the QuickBooks platform and ecosystem.

Principal Experience Designer Intuit | 2014 - 2015

I brought Intuit Full Service Payroll into the QuickBooks ecosystem, unlocking a huge business and revenue opportunity. I lead a three person design team challenged with making a white-glove, outsourced payroll solution seamless to setup and effortless to run.

Senior Experience Designer Intuit | 2013 - 2014

As lead interaction designer for Intuit's Small Business Mobile Payroll solutions, I created a suite of mobile offerings bringing Intuit Online Payroll to the iPad for the first time. Since then, I've led two full-scale redesigns while supporting Intuit's Small Business Group's effort to reimagine QuickBooks as part of project Harmony.

Innovation Catalyst Intuit | 2012 - Present

I provoke and inspire teams (both inside and outside of my working group) to create awesome products, aspire to bold visions, and dig deep into customer insights. I do everything from teaching processes and methodologies to facilitating D4D sessions and getting hands-on with teams. You can learn more about the program here.

Experience Designer Intuit | 2011 - 2012

As an experience designer working on Intuit's Small Business Payroll solutions, I led the re-design of our help system and feature additions to our Android and iOS mobile applications.

Occasionally, I like to take on side projects to keep my creative energy fueled. I love experimenting with brand design, graphic design, print design, website design, and more! Below are few select projects.

Instructor Professional Design Practices | Fall 2010, Spring 2011

I taught a student initiated course to my fellow product designers in portfolio design. The course was project-based, resulting in web and print portfolios showcasing student work. Students learned HTML & CSS, product photography, and participated in company tours at local design firms.

President Product Design Student Association | 2008 - 2011

I lead a student group of three to ten officers. Our mission was to support, enable, champion and recruit for the Product Design major. As president I helped facilitate several events including mixers, socials, career fairs, job talks, workshops, and portfolio reviews.

Teaching Assistant Stanford University | Summer 2010

Arts Intensive is a three-week summer immersion program for Stanford University Undergraduates. I helped teach a class called Design Thinking & The Art of Innovation giving students a crash-course in design thinking and creative problem solving.

Interaction Design Intern | Intuit | Summer 2010

Part of the Answers Team at TurboTax, I helped bring a new in-product help experience to life. I created prototypes for multiple rounds of user research leading to our final detailed design.

B.S. Product Design & B.A. ComMUNICATIONS | STANFORD | 2011

I graduated from Stanford University with two degrees — one in Mechanical Engineering: Product Design and another in Communications. I got to work on lots of interesting design projects, three of my favorites are featured here.
